There I was, looking at the PS5 premiere and the latest games for the system on YouTube and as I absorbed everything; the games, the graphics, the additional colors…. There….I saw it…. the game of the century…Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Did my eyes deceive me? Did I see another Spider-Man game?
Yep, Spider-Man was a different color. This Spider-Man was Black. This Spider-Man was none other than Miles Morales; the Spider-Man of 2020; Spider-Verse-Spiderman; the Spider-Man of the new millennium.….
And that’s when I got up from my seat and yelled….‘Hell yeah, it’s happening…. A Spider-Man video game with Miles Morales; the lead character…..Let’s do it!!!’
Sony announced today, for June 11, 2020, that Spiderman will be coming ‘BACK and in BLACK’ and I’m very excited!!!
Let me tell you….that this game will be the catalyst that will move the PS5.
With Sony, using their research and data analytics, they decided, in some way, that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be the driving force behind the PlayStation’s rebirth and you know what? I whole heartedly believe the PS5 will usher in a new wave of diverse superheroes and unique game playing with various video game designers of multiple ethnicities releasing a gamut of storylines and characters that will bring game-playing to another level.
From what I see, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is that FIRE!!!

And as we saw in 2018…. with the Spider-Verse movie, this will be the epic event of the 2020 Holiday Season!!!

Similar to the Black Panther movie, millions will go to the PS website to download, or if they are still around for the holiday season, will flock to GameStop, to reserve the game event of 2020.
Now for those who are not familiar with the Miles Morales franchise, you need to be. Go do the research. This excerpt isn’t designed for that. Miles Morales is literally the iconic character in the Marvel Universe that has spawned the diversity revolution for Marvel.

And let’s not forget about the soundtrack….. w/Jaden Smith & Kid Cudi: On My Own… I never heard this song (although its been out for a while), but once it’s was tied with the game……it’s definitely the song we need right now….and with a Brooklyn vibe,……It’s the song of 2020!!!
I never would have thought, in a million years, that I would be alive to see Sony’s ‘Purple Tape’ video game.
For those who are unfamiliar with the terminology….in the hip-hop scene… when something is declared a ‘purple tape’; that means that it’s ‘5 Mics’, ‘straight classic’; ‘absolute fire’!!! And with this game, this system, which hasn’t even been released yet, this is the purple tape and system of the year!!!
I’m so excited, I’m crying….. I really can’t contain myself…..the reason…, it’s because this is the first game where it’s a Hero of Color that I, myself, could relate too. I mean, we had other video games where characters of color existed, but to be honest, I never played them…. And now here we are…. After the fighting, the protesting of our rights…we now have a superhero of color that I could be proud of…..
